MASTER DETECTION MODULE KMAY
The KMAY Master Detection Module is a microprocessed algorithmic addressable device with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It is installed as part of the fire alarm loop system.
This module is used to connect conventional detectors and manual call points into an algorithmic addressable fire detection system. It acts as an interface between conventional and addressable systems.
Functionality
The module allows integration of conventional fire detection devices into an addressable system while maintaining full monitoring and control from the fire alarm panel.
- Zone C terminal supports up to 10 conventional manual call points
- Zone D terminal supports up to 20 heat detectors or up to 15 smoke detectors/manual call points
- Both zones are monitored using an end-of-line capacitor (10µF/63V)
- Detects open circuit, short circuit, alarm condition, and device status
Indications
- Flashing red LED indicates communication with the control panel
- Solid red LED indicates alarm condition from connected devices
- Remote indicator output activates during alarm condition
Power Supply
The module is powered directly from the loop system.
